Uzbekistan establishing cooperation with a prestigious international law firm

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, Lord Waverley, and a partner in the London office of the international law firm Curtis, Mark Hammerson.

Lord Waverley, at the same time being a consultant-representative of the international law firm Curtis, highly appreciated the economic changes taking place in Uzbekistan, including the favorable conditions created for foreign investors.

“In recent years, when global geopolitical and economic problems have worsened, the economy of Uzbekistan has almost doubled, and the country has absorbed more than $60 billion in foreign investment - this is clear evidence that the leadership of your country is pursuing the right economic policy,” he said.

Partner of the international law firm Curtis, Mark Hammerson, expressed interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan in order to further improve the investment environment in the country and provide consulting assistance on legal support of large contracts.

An agreement was reached to organize a practical trip to Uzbekistan for a delegation consisting of representatives of the London office of the international law company Curtis.

Founded in 1830, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP is today one of the oldest and most prestigious law firms in the world. She is renowned for her international experience and specialization in cross-border transactions and disputes.
