Governor of Andijan inks $100M solar energy deal with Russian firms
Plans are underway to implement a project for constructing a 100-megawatt solar panel power station between 2024 and 2026.
The governor of the Andijan region, Shukhrat Abdurahmonov, met with Sergey Kudryashov, the CEO of Zarubezhneft JSC, at the company's head office in Moscow.
During the meeting, a memorandum was signed to implement a project on building a solar panel power station with a total capacity of 100 megawatts, valued at $100 million (with the first phase being 18 megawatts, and $18 million), in the Andijan region.
Additionally, while there, the governor of the Andijan region concluded negotiations with the leadership of the Special Energy branch enterprise of the Rosatom state corporation and Zarubezhneft JSC and signed a tripartite contract to implement a $100 million project on household waste recycling and electricity production.
