Kyrgyzstan to launch a joint car plant with Uzbekistan by end of May
The Uzbek-Kyrgyz automobile plant in the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan will be ready to operate in test mode on May 28. This was announced by the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the neighboring country Daniyar Amangeldiev, 24.kg reports.
The company is located in the Sokuluk district. The plant plans to assemble Chevrolet and Isuzu cars.
It should be recalled that in March 2023, an agreement on cooperation on organizing the production (SKD) of automotive and commercial vehicles in Kyrgyzstan was signed between Uzavtosanoat JSC, DT Tekhnik LLC and NUR JSC (KR).
