Individuals engaged in illegal sending citizens to Hajj detained in Tashkent and Kokand
State Security Service officers in Tashkent and Kokand stopped five cases of falsification of documents for sending citizens to the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, the SSS press service reports.
A resident of the Chilanzar district, born in 1983, promised to issue visa documents and send a resident of the Shaykhantakhur district to the Hajj through his friends and was detained by State Security Service officers upon receiving $8.5 thousand.
In another case, an employee of a travel company was detained while receiving $5.5 thousand for forging documents to send a resident of the Shaykhantakhur district on a pilgrimage.
Also, the manager of another travel company and his employee were detained while receiving an advance payment of $4 thousand. They demanded $8.5 thousand from the citizen in exchange for sending him to Saudi Arabia in the current Hajj 2024 season.
The manager of a travel company in Kokand demanded $12 thousand for sending two citizens to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj and was detained upon receiving $10 thousand.
In another case in Kokand, an employee of a travel company demanded $6 thousand in exchange for sending a local resident on a pilgrimage and was detained upon receiving $3 thousand of the requested amount.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated on all facts. Preliminary investigative actions are being carried out.
