Uzbekistan to launch eco-sticker program for vehicles in 2025

With the resolution, amendments and additions aimed at improving the ecological situation in production industries have been made to certain government decisions. In particular, the following are provided:

-  The requirement to submit project documents for state environmental expertise for the installation of solar photovoltaic stations on the roofs and facades of buildings has been abolished;

-  Implementation of measures to create and cultivate "green belts" in industrial enterprises that impact the environment and adjacent areas.

-  The timeline for the phased implementation of the "Ecological Transport" system has been changed. It will now begin on March 1, 2025 (previously June 1, 2024). From this same date, the compliance level of vehicles with regulatory documents will be determined, and eco-stickers will be issued.
