Uzbek-Japanese inter-MFA political consultations held in Tokyo
Today in Tokyo, another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Japan took place.
According to the MFA, the delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Special Representative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Central Asia, the Caucasus and GUAM Masaki Ikegami.
During the talks, issues of activating political dialogue, developing trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas of cooperation were discussed. Mutual interest was expressed in strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and expanding the contractual and legal framework of relations.
The parties noted the positive dynamics in the development of interstate relations and confirmed that they are ready to mobilize all opportunities for further deepening the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the schedule and organizational aspects of joint events of a bilateral and interregional nature, including in the “Central Asia + Japan” format.
The parties also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
