Uzbekistan, Great Britain discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in energy sector
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with the regional manager of the British company Ethos Energy, Neil Adam.
Ethos Energy services gas and steam turbines, generators and transformers in the energy sector, and repairs compressors, turbines, generators and engine components in the oil and gas sector. The company has representative offices in more than 40 locations around the world, including the USA, the UAE, Poland, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and other countries.
During the conversation, it was noted that the long-term strategy for the development of the oil and gas, electric power, coal, chemical and construction industries is aimed at ensuring stable growth of the republic’s economy and increasing the level of well-being of the population and continuously meeting the need for fuel and energy resources.
Neil Adam expressed satisfaction with having become acquainted with the reforms being carried out in the energy sector of Uzbekistan.
An agreement was reached to study the prospects for cooperation in improving the energy efficiency of economic and social sectors, and the widespread introduction of energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources.
