More than 200 applicants scored maximum points in 2024 state exams

On August 8, the Agency for Knowledge Assessment held a press conference on the initial results of the state exams.

According to the agency, 740,352 applicants participated in the exams for the 2024/2025 academic year, with more than 418,000 or 56.5% of them scoring above 56.7 points, thus qualifying to participate in the selection process. This figure was 53.3% in 2023.

According to the Deputy Director of the Agency, Farhod Mirzaev, 210 applicants scored 189 and above. Out of these, 91 applicants were graduates of the "Temurbeklar Maktabi" military-academic lyceum. The highest score, 217.4, was recorded by a graduate of this lyceum whose main subjects were history and foreign language.

For reference, in 2023, 119 applicants scored above 189.

Additionally, among the 210 applicants who scored 189 and above:

- 77 applicants had history and foreign language as their main subjects in the exam;
- 43 applicants had biology and chemistry as their main subjects;
- 40 applicants had native language and literature as well as English as their main subjects;
- 21 applicants had state law foundations and foreign language as their main subjects.

Furthermore, Mirzaev provided information about the number of applicants who had a national certificate during the test exams. According to him, 43,677 applicants (compared to 25,661 in 2023) had a foreign language certificate, with 76 of them achieving the maximum score.

Applicants holding a national certificate in general education subjects totaled 13,142 (compared to 3,255 in 2023), of whom 118 scored the maximum. The number of applicants with both a national certificate in general education subjects and a foreign language certificate was 4,259 (compared to 355 in 2023), with 74 of them achieving the maximum score.

It is also worth noting that from July 27 to August 10, 2024, applicants can select up to five higher education institutions and undergraduate programs on the official website of the Agency for Knowledge Assessment. They were advised to review the previous year's passing scores.
