Senate to convene for 55th plenary session on August 15
Today, at a meeting of the Senate Council, a resolution was adopted to convene the 55th plenary session of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis on August 15.
According to the press service of the Senate, the session was chaired by the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva.
It was noted that a number of issues are planned to be discussed at the plenary session, which will be held using a videoconferencing system.
Among them are the law “On approval of the Entrepreneurship Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the Constitutional Law “On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the laws “On amendments and additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedural Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the road safety system” and “On the protection of children from all forms of violence”.
The agenda also includes the law “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the Improvement of the system of providing social services and assistance”, laws on accession to a number of international documents and ratification of the ILO Convention.
The next plenary session is planned to consider the issue of approving the list of priority international ratings and indices for Uzbekistan, to hear information from the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the implementation of measures for the rational and efficient use of water resources, improving management mechanisms and the legislative framework in this area.
The plenary session will also consider the issue of approving resolutions of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
