Uzbekistan to receive representatives of global textile community in September

The International Conference “ITMF Annual Conference & IAF World Fashion Convention 2024”, organized by the International Textile and Apparel Federation, will be held in Samarkand from September 7 to 10, 2024.

As it was announced today at a press conference held in the main building of Uztuqimachiliksanoat, the Global Textile Dialogue international forum will be held in Tashkent on September 13.

ITMF and IAF unite leading textile associations, clothing and equipment manufacturers, as well as major brands and retail companies from 60 countries. Uzbekistan became a member of ITMF in 2014 and joined IAF in 2020.

The Global Textile Dialogue forum, first organized in 2023 in China, is aimed at uniting national textile associations to jointly promote innovation. Uzbekistan’s experience in sustainable development and monitoring of the textile industry has received international recognition and is being applied in various regions.

“Uzbekistan was chosen from among many leading countries, including the United States, Turkey, Egypt and others. The fact that Uzbekistan was chosen as a platform undoubtedly speaks of the growing attention and trust in our country and the lifting of the boycott of Uzbek cotton,” the acting chairman of the Uztuqimachiliksanoat Association said.

The conference and forum provide unique opportunities to strengthen cooperation and develop trade and investment ties. It is expected that representatives of the textile industry from more than 50 countries will take part in the events, which will allow them to exchange experiences and establish partnerships.

These events, held in Uzbekistan for the first time in a joint format, will bring together more than 500 organizations, including manufacturers, retailers and brands. Participants will discuss current issues in the global textile industry and hold hundreds of B2B and G2B meetings aimed at developing cooperation and creating new partnerships.
