Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Visits Afghanistan
Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov are attending an exhibition of Uzbek products in Kabul. During the visit, discussions will also take place regarding the establishment of trade chambers between the Taliban and Uzbekistan.
On August 17, Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov visited Kabul. According to local media, the purpose of Aripov's visit to Kabul is to inaugurate an exhibition of Uzbek products and participate in bilateral meetings with the Taliban.
A day before the Prime Minister's visit, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, traveled to Kabul and met with Taliban representatives. During this meeting, discussions were held on establishing trade chambers between the Taliban and Uzbekistan in Kabul and Tashkent, as well as expanding economic ties.
The head of the Uzbek government has become one of the highest-ranking officials to visit Afghanistan, which is under Taliban control.
