Foreign investors and local entrepreneurs present $1.8 billion projects to President Mirziyoyev
Companies from countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia, and Spain are investing in the projects. These projects encompass energy, heating supply, mining and chemical industries, construction materials, services, and other sectors.
Over the past seven years, 6,784 projects worth 17.8 trillion UZS have been implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, creating 56,000 jobs. During this period, the region exported goods worth $2.815 billion. This year, 470 projects with a total value of $874 million are being implemented in the republic.
This steady progress is continuing, with foreign investors and local entrepreneurs forming 124 projects in Karakalpakstan, with a total value of $9.5 billion. Out of these, 10 projects worth nearly $1.8 billion were presented to the president.
Companies from countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia, and Spain are investing in these projects. They cover sectors such as energy, heating supply, mining and chemical industries, construction materials, services, and others.
For example, in collaboration with Saudi Arabia, the centralized heating supply system in the city of Nukus is being improved; with Spanish investment, solar and wind power plants are being constructed in the Karauzyak district; and German investors plan to establish copper processing and cable manufacturing projects in the Nukus district.
As a result of these 124 projects, more than 20,000 people will be employed.
The president emphasized the importance of accelerating the projects and providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurs.
