31 children who were deprived of parental care in Russia repatriated to Uzbekistan
Yesterday, August 25, 9 children, before that 22 children (13 from St. Petersburg, 9 from Moscow, 8 from Novosibirsk, 1 from Kazan) were returned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
These days, 31 children who were left unattended in different regions of the Russian Federation were returned to Uzbekistan, the Children’s Ombudsman reported.
The representative of Oliy Majlis on Children’s Rights (Children’s Ombudsman) sent a request to her foreign colleague – the Children’s Ombudsman of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova; she stated that measures are currently being taken to return the neglected minors to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Until the children are returned to the homeland by the representatives of the responsible agencies of Uzbekistan, she asked for immediate practical assistance in temporarily placing them in children’s institutions in the regions where they currently live in the Russian Federation.
According to the request of the Children’s Ombudsman of Uzbekistan, as a result of the prompt measures of the Children’s Ombudsman of the Russian Federation, necessary assistance was provided in this matter and comfortable and appropriate conditions were provided for children in the areas where they are located.
Yesterday, August 25, 9 children, before that 22 children (13 from St. Petersburg, 9 from Moscow, 8 from Novosibirsk, 1 from Kazan) were returned to the country by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Children’s Ombudsman expressed her gratitude to the Children’s Ombudsman of the Russian Federation for their prompt cooperation in ensuring the interests of children and added that the mutually constructive cooperation will continue.
