On August 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting focused on energy conservation and the implementation of alternative energy sources, as reported by the presidential press service.

The meeting reviewed the results of a study conducted by the Fergana Polytechnic Institute. Scientists found that at the "Logon" substation, 5 million kWh of electricity is lost annually, which is 1.5 times higher than the normal rate of natural losses.

Experts noted that by evenly distributing the load among 113 transformer points, 765 thousand kWh of energy losses can be prevented. An additional 1.1 million kWh can be saved by installing reactive power batteries on transformers near water pumping stations.

The total energy losses in one district of Fergana are estimated at 15.5 million kWh, or 6 billion UZS. Measures have been ordered to implement the proposed solutions not only in this area but also in other regions.

The experience of Karakalpakstan in gas conservation was also discussed. The installation of efficient gas burners and the insulation of heating systems for 95,000 families allowed the saving of 145 million cubic meters of gas. After work in an additional 16,000 homes, another 20 million cubic meters of gas will be saved.

The head of state ordered the modernization of heating systems in 1 million households. He also called for special attention to large gas consumers, noting that only 25% of them have implemented energy-saving solutions.

Additionally, the president emphasized the work being done to implement renewable energy sources in enterprises. The goal is set to ensure that by 2027, at least a quarter of the water management system is powered by "green" energy, primarily solar.

By the end of the year, it is planned to install alternative energy sources with a capacity of 182 MW for residential use and 791 MW for businesses. The president issued a stern warning to officials for delays in certain areas.
