Uzbekistan and Germany deepen cooperation with agreements in transportation, water resources, and mobility

Uzbekistan and Germany signed several key documents to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

At the conclusion of productive negotiations held in the city of Samarkand, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, adopted a joint declaration.

In total, 8 bilateral documents were signed during the official visit, including:

•  An intergovernmental agreement on comprehensive partnership in the field of migration and mobility;

•  An intergovernmental declaration on cooperation in the field of veterinary and livestock farming;

•  An intergovernmental declaration on cooperation in the sustainable use of water resources within the framework of the "Green Central Asia" initiative;

•  A joint declaration on cooperation in the field of critical minerals;

•  An agreement on cooperation in the field of transportation;

•  A memorandum on cooperation in climate change within the framework of the Paris Agreement.

Additionally, a Program of Technological Partnership and Industrial Cooperation for 2024-2026 was adopted, and a number of agreements and contracts were concluded between leading companies of Uzbekistan and Germany.
