Saudi company to build pharmaceutical plant in Tashkent region
Saudi Arabia’s Jamjoom Pharma will construct a pharmaceutical plant within the Tashkent Pharma Park complex.
The plant is set to begin operations in the third quarter of 2025, according to the Ministry of Health.
The agreement for the construction was signed during a visit to Riyadh by a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev. Discussions between Khodjaev and Mahmoud Jamjoom, the chairman of Jamjoom Pharma, also included the registration of 30 pharmaceutical products produced by the Saudi company in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health announced that Saudi medical professionals will visit Uzbekistan in October 2024. During their eight-day stay, they will perform over 100 open-heart surgeries and catheterization procedures at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after V. Vakhidov.
