Luxury hotel chain Jumeirah Group in talks for potential entry into Uzbekistan

Officials from Uzbekistan's Embassy in the UAE held talks with Philipp Krause, Vice President of the renowned Emirati company Jumeirah Group, discussing the potential for the luxury hotel chain's expansion into Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Uzbekistan's representatives showcased the country's growing appeal in terms of investment, economic development, and tourism. Over the past seven years, Uzbekistan has experienced a significant tourism boom, with the number of foreign visitors tripling. Furthermore, the country's export of tourism services has increased fivefold, while the number of hotels and accommodation facilities has grown tenfold.

The Uzbek delegation also presented a series of opportunities for the Jumeirah Group, focusing on privatization and renovation projects for major hotel complexes. They emphasized that the company's entry into Uzbekistan could further enhance the country's hospitality infrastructure and attract more tourists.

In response, Philippe Krous outlined Jumeirah Group's operations and future plans, noting the company’s interest in expanding into new markets.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to present the proposal to Jumeirah Group's stakeholders for further consideration.
