Tashkent region police arrest fraudsters promising driver’s license for money
Authorities in the Tashkent region have uncovered multiple cases of fraud involving individuals who promised to secure driver’s licenses in exchange for money.
One of the incidents took place in the Pskent district, where a citizen identified as Kh.A. was caught red-handed while receiving $1,000 in exchange for promising to arrange a driver’s license through "connections" with high-ranking officials.
In a separate case in Akhangaran, law enforcement officials detained two individuals for receiving $1,000 in return for similar false promises to help secure a license.
Criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code. Investigations are currently underway to determine the full extent of these offenses.
