Uzhydromet: Autumn 2023 has been the hottest in the history of Uzbekistan

November 2023 and autumn in general was the hottest in the history of meteorological observations in Uzbekistan. In October, the temperature was 1.5-2.5 degrees higher than the average climatic norm, and in November it was 3-6 degrees higher.

Sudden changes in the average statistical air temperature are typical for November, such changes were also observed in November this year, but unlike other years, these changes occurred against the background of high temperatures.

For most of the month, the air temperature was higher than the average long-term values, and only during the cold period it decreased to the climatic norm, Uzgidromet reports.

The temperature in all regions was 3-6 degrees higher than the average climatic norm.

Thus, November 2023 took first place in the rating of the warmest November for all years of meteorological observations in Uzbekistan.

On the hottest days, the maximum air temperature reached 23-28 degrees. The minimum temperature drops to negative (minus) values only in the north of the republic.

Usually, in most of the territory of the republic, the daytime temperature in the first half of November is 15-20 degrees warm, and in the second half it is around 10-15 degrees warm. In November 2023, such trends were not observed, high temperature values were observed both at the beginning and at the end of the month.

November 2023 was relatively dry in the republic. Precipitation on the territory of the republic was low and around the norm.

Precipitation fell only in the form of rain in the flat area of the republic. Snowfall was observed only in the mountainous regions of the republic.

Compared to the norm, November was the warmest month of the autumn season of 2023 (3-6 degrees warmer than the norm). The average monthly temperature in October was 1.5-2.5 degrees above normal, and September was close to the average multi-year values.

In general, the autumn of 2023 was the warmest for all years of meteorological observations in Uzbekistan. According to the weather conditions, Uzbeks really witnessed the velvet season.
