Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits WWII veterans
These days, May 9 – Day of Remembrance and Honor is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. According to the presidential decree, a one-time monetary award is given to the participants of the World War II and the disabled. They are being cared and shown respect.
Health is the most important thing for these people who have faced a hundred years and seen all the bitterness of life. Therefore, constant attention is paid to strengthening their health. Even today, a group of war veterans are being treated in hospitals and sanatoriums.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Central Military Clinical Hospital under the Ministry of Defense on May 8 and met with the war participants.
Uskan Khadjimanov from Boyovut district, Fayzulla Nurmatov from Akkurgan district, Anarboy Jalilov from Parkent district, Muhiddin Dusanbaev from Urta Chirchik district are being treated here. They said that they are satisfied with their lives and are happy about the respect of our country and people. Their health is under constant supervision of the district medical association, free medicine and referrals to sanatoriums are given every year.
The veterans told the president about their grandchildren’s studies, work and achievements. They work effectively in various fields such as education, construction, internal affairs, agriculture and contribute to the development of our country. Young people are getting modern knowledge and going to study abroad. Grandfathers have been urging them to value peace, patriotism, and hard work.
“We make an effort to please our people. We want the results of the reforms to reach into every household. We have big plans. If everyone collaborates, we will achieve our goals faster. The prayers of enlightened people like you will help us in this. Your life is a school of will and courage, and your words are a lesson for young people,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Parents thanked the leader of our country for his kindness. He prayed for world peace and a bright future for the youth.
In the hospital, the participants of the World War II are properly cared for. This institution was completely renovated and new buildings were built and put into operation in 2022. The hospital has a total of 700 beds, where military personnel, their family members, veterans are treated free of charge. For this purpose, 286 different diagnostic examinations, more than 600 practices have been established, and about 30 specialized departments have been established.
