Uzbek tennis players reach the Futures finals
The Futures series of tournaments, organized by the International Tennis Federation of Turkey, Pakistan and India, are being held across these three countries. Members of Uzbekistan national tennis team are successfully taking part in it.
In the first round of the men’s tournament in Antalya, Uzbekistan’s Sanjar Fayziyev defeated Romanian Andrei Niculescu with a score of 6:3, 6:7, 10:4 and reached the second round, in which he will play against Paul Woerner of Germany.
In the competition held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, Saidalo Saidkarimov defeated British representative Shamael Chaudhry with a score of 6:4, 3:6, 6:2 and reached the semifinals, where he will face German Kai Wehnelt.
In the semifinals of the women’s doubles tournament in the Indian city of Navi Mumbai, Uzbekistan’s experienced tennis player Albina Khabibulina together with Yekaterina Yashina from Russia defeated the tandem of American Jacqueline Cako and Montenegro’s Ana Veselinovic with the score of 6:4, 6:4.
