Forbes estimates Alisher Usmanov's income for 2018 at $1.12 billion
Forbes for the third time publishes the ranking of Russian billionaires with the highest incomes.
In contrast to the traditional rating of the richest businessmen, where the value of assets is assessed, and the final amount is in some way a “virtual number”, the “live” money received by billionaires for selling assets or in the form of dividends is evaluated here.
From last year’s ranking, six people are present in the current list: Mikhail Prokhorov, Alexey Mordashov, Alisher Usmanov, Vladimir Lisin, Vagit Alekperov and Suleiman Kerimov.
The publication estimated Alisher Usmanov’s annual income at $1.12 billion.
Thanks to the sale of a stake in London’s Arsenal FC, Usmanov moved from tenth place in last year’s Forbes ranking of the richest businessmen to fifth. A significant share of revenues, as in the past year, was made up by dividends of "Metalloinvest".
Forbes studied data for the period from February 10, 2018 to February 8, 2019. Journalists estimated the incomes of entrepreneurs before taxes, expenses for servicing loans and commissions, while transactions for the sale of personal property were not taken into account.
