At the meeting, existing shortcomings in these three spheres were critically analyzed and urgent tasks were identified.

“Regional administrations need to work in close cooperation with manufacturing enterprises, diversify their economies, and increase the number of projects to be implemented. Only then will there be economic growth, more jobs and budget revenues,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Next year, it is planned to begin the implementation of 24 large projects worth $12.7 billion in the three industries under consideration. These include expanding the production capacity of polyvinyl chloride at Navoiazot and soda ash in Kungrad, producing olefin from methanol in Karakul, and producing metal sheets for household appliances and cars in Samarkand.

The president emphasized the importance of involving local enterprises in the supply of construction materials and equipment necessary for the implementation of projects.
