Consumer debt for drinking water reached almost a trillion soums
As a result of unauthorized connection to drinking water supply and sewerage networks, the state suffered damage amounting to 80.6 billion soums.
The debt of consumers to pay for drinking water amounts to 938.7 billion soums. Of these, 757.3 billion soums are the debt of the population and 181.4 billion soums of legal entities. This was announced by the head of the press service of Uzsuvtaminot JSC Akmal Murodov.
It is noted that to date, a total of 33.4 thousand claims have been filed in the courts for debt reduction. At the same time, 16.2 thousand writs of execution, on which a court decision was made, were transferred to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, and 16.2 billion soums were collected for 4.7 thousand of them.
It is noted that consumers must make 100% prepayment for drinking water supply and sewerage by the 10th day of each month.
Over the past period, Uzsuvtaminot JSC and regional enterprises have carried out about 76 thousand raids. 12.7 thousand violations were identified for arbitrary connection to drinking and waste water supply networks, the damage of which amounted to 80.6 billion soums.
Violations by consumers of the rules for using a water meter were identified in 8.7 thousand cases, leading to damage in the amount of 34.9 billion soums.
It is noted that legal measures were taken against the identified violators, and 5.2 thousand consumers were disconnected from the network.
