Gas station selling low-quality gasoline damaged 12 cars in Syrdarya
The amount of damage was 103.2 million soums.
More than ten drivers suffered financial losses due to the sale of low-quality gasoline at the gas station in Mirzaabad district (Syrdarya region), the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
Reportedly, the Mirzaabad District PGO Department carried out inspections at the gas station belonging to the “I.P.” LLC under the “Uzenergoinspektsiya” department of the Syrdarya region.
During the study, it was found out that the quality index of 10,730 liters of AI-92 brand gasoline in this study did not meet the parameters of the state standard, and as a result of the sale of low-quality fuel to customers by the LLC, 103.2 million soums of material damage was caused to the vehicles of 12 citizens.
It is noted that on this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 192-11 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority by officials in a non-state commercial organization or other non-state organization). An investigation is underway.
Earlier, in October 2023, it was reported that 6 million 105 liters of low-quality oil products were detected in Uzbekistan.
In addition, there were reports that A-80 gasoline is being sold as A-92 in some gas stations.
