The Humo payment system has agreed to integrate its payment network with South Korean BC Card, the company's press service reported

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place on August 23 in Tashkent. It was attended by the first deputy head of the National Interbank Processing Center Maksad Mukhitdinov and the CEO of BC Card Choi Won-Seok.

The integration will simplify the payment for goods and services for citizens of both countries during mutual trips. Humo cardholders will be able to make payments in South Korea, and BC Card holders will be able to do so in Uzbekistan.

“The creation of such cooperation between our companies contributes to the development of international relations in the field of non-cash payments, and also creates an opportunity for HUMO cardholders and BC Cardholders to use their local cards in both countries,” noted Maksad Mukhitdinov.

In July 2023, the heads of Humo and BC Card signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document included plans to create an interstate payment network, a “green” payment system, and organize international transfers.

Seamless payments with Humo cards are currently operating in Georgia with the support of TBC Bank. In June, the head of the NIPC, Shukhratbek Kurbanov, spoke about plans to launch payments jointly with Kyrgyzstan's Elkart and Kazakhstan's Halyk Bank, and in the future, to enter the markets of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
