Uzbekistan's national football team climbs two positions in FIFA rankings
The Uzbekistan national football team has advanced two spots in the latest FIFA rankings, moving from 58th to 56th place.
This change comes after the team secured a total of 1,429 points following two matches held in Tashkent.
The recent update by FIFA highlights Uzbekistan's growing presence in international football, reflecting the team's performance and consistency on the field. The national team’s success in recent games has contributed significantly to this upward movement in the rankings.
It should be noted that earlier the football analysis portal We Global Football updated the probability of Asian teams advancing to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Uzbekistan's national team now has a 93.1% chance of securing a direct spot in the tournament, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
